Ahmed Amayem, M.D., FIPP, finished his first residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. During this time is when his interest was sparked in the treatment of chronic pain syndromes and the management of spine and disc problems. He then proceeded to his second residency training in anesthesia with a special focus in interventional pain management. Dr. Amayem became a board-certified anesthesiologist, followed by becoming a diplomate in the American Academy of Pain Management. A second diploma was then acquired from the American Academy of Pain Medicine, then he successfully finished his third degree as fellow of interventional pain physician. Dr. Amayem strongly believes that there is help for those who suffer from chronic back, neck, and cancer pain.

Embracing the age of new technology, he is now able to offer minimally invasive surgical procedures as a treatment for chronic pain. His extensive background in physical therapy and gait analysis research enforces his belief that prevention and exercise are the key elements in chronic pain management.

Due to his dedication in advancing technology, he became a consultant for Advanced Bionics and St. Jude Medical.  He participates in educating specialties for performing spinal cord stimulation. In 2009 AA Spine Center became an official training site for specialists from all over the country.
